Our Technical and Quality Assurance staff in Singapore and China offices have many years of sea experience having sailed as Chief Engineers and Master Mariners with various shipping companies before working ashore.
”We have dedicated and loyal staff, both ashore and at sea, most of them have worked in our company for more than 20 years!

He set up our own Crew Resources in Philippines in the early 1990s to promote Filipino crew management to international Shipowners. Later, he incorporated subsidiaries in Shanghai and Tianjin, to recruit well trained and experience Chinese officers and crew direct. He established good working relationships with Chinese shipyards so as to ensure better service and competitive costs when our vessels go for drydocking and repairs.
Knowing synergy of co-operation promotes a win-win situation, he expanded our company through joint ventures with established international shipping companies, resulting in our subsidiairies – Belchem Singapore Pte Ltd and Belchem Philippines Inc. As a man of vision, he set up our representation office in Yangoon to tap on the emerging economy of Myanmar.
With his strong leadership, knowledge and experience, our company is able to serve our Shipowners well and promote customers’ satisfaction!


Over the years he has amassed various experience in drydocking supervision, ship inspections, New building supervision, from sea trials till vessel delivery from Shipbuilders.
Besides having sound technical knowledge he has good Commercial knowledge and has assisted Shipowners in handling disputes whether it involves loss of hire, cargo claims, performance claims with Charterers while still maintaining good relationship with them.
At the same time keeping good relationship with P & I Clubs and Hull & Machinery underwriters, Classification Societies, Ship repair Yards and Shipbuilders is his forte to ensure Shipowners enjoy the best service from these organisations.
His skills in handling the Technical staff under him has greatly enhance the effectiveness of good shipmanagement beneficial to Shipowners.

Furthermore she also ensures the implementation of MLC 2006 and ensures each vessel operated by our Company is manned with qualified seafarers in accordance with the defined crewing and vessel policies and procedures, by managing the selection, recruitment and planning of all seafarers, directly or through manning agents, in accordance with the company’s crewing procedures.
Through the Crew Department, she ensures there is control of documents of seagoing personnel, appraisal process on seafarers’ performance, identify training needs of seafarers by establishing training plans and also the crew matrix to meet vetting requirements.

He came ashore as a Technical Superintendent taking charge of Container, General Cargo and Tanker ships.
During the tenure with NOL / AET, he was posted to Philippines in 1991 with Lorenzeo Container Lines – a local domestics container lines in NOL group. His second posting oversea was to AET-UK Office with AET Shipmanagement, taking care of vessels trading in Europe from 2006 to 2009.
He has worked in various capacity from Chief Engineer, Technical Superintendent, Fleet Manager, Regional Senior Manager and Head of Drydocking & Maintenance with NOL / AET. He served with NOL / AET Group of Companies until June 2018, a total of 35 years of dedicated services.
He joined Belships Management as Head of QA/Safety Department in July 2018. Now he is in charge of our Technical Dept (Fleet 2) and Purchasing Dept.
He holds a MSc – Maritime Studies from NTU (Nanyang Technological University).

He re-joined the company in November 2018 and is now in charge of all QA, Safety, Operations and IT matters for vessels and office.
